At the age of 43, I find myself in the midst of living life day by day. The early demise of my husband, Ray, of 22 years, left me wondering what makes a person whole? Is it the accumulated wealth or the accolades received? Is it the network of friends you surround yourself with? Is it the sacrifices you've endured? Or is it how you live your life in service to God and others? Have you done your fair share to make this world a better place for the next generation?
Will you be as confident as you are now when you meet your Creator after life here on earth? Will you be ready to say goodbye to your love ones when the time comes? And most importantly, are you strong enough to embrace the inequities of society and continue your life's journey ALONE?
People say I will have good days and bad days but I refuse to have neither since life is too short and every minute is precious. Therefore, I choose to live life to the fullest and make everyday a great day. With God by my side and Ray's loving presence within me, I will remain whole!
